Psychologist

Dr. Melissa De Riggi is a clinical psychologist and member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. She has extensive experience working with youth and their families across various settings. After working in hospitals for several years, including the Jewish General Hospital (child psychiatry and youth service departments) she now works exclusively in private practice. At WINCC, Dr. Melissa’s focus is on offering comprehensive assessment services for children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental challenges.

As a therapist, her approach is person-centred, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual and their current goals, drawing on emotion-focused (EFT), cognitive-behavioural (CBT/DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches (ACT). She is passionate about working with youth (10-29) and focuses on mood difficulties (e.g., depression), anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and adjustment to life transitions. She also works with families and offers coaching to parents looking to support their loved ones. She believes in the importance of a strength-based, compassionate and collaborative relationship with every client.
