There’s something profoundly healing about sitting in a room with others who “get it.” Group therapy offers a unique space where teens and adults can connect, share, and grow together—guided by skilled therapists who know how to foster trust and transformation.
At the West Island Neuropsychology and Counseling Centre (WINCC), we offer group therapy sessions tailored to different age groups and challenges. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, relationship struggles, or simply seeking connection, our bilingual therapists (English and French) create a safe, supportive environment—online or in person.
Why Group Therapy Works
- Shared Understanding: Hearing others’ stories helps normalize your own experiences and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Built-In Support System: Group members often become a source of encouragement and accountability.
- Diverse Perspectives: You gain insight from others’ coping strategies and viewpoints, which can spark new ways of thinking.
- Social Skills Practice: Especially for teens, group therapy offers a space to build communication and interpersonal skills in real time.
- Cost-Effective Care: Group sessions are often more affordable than individual therapy, while still offering deep therapeutic value.
At WINCC, our therapists use evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, and mindfulness to guide group sessions that are both structured and dynamic. We believe healing doesn’t have to happen alone—and in many cases, it’s more powerful when it doesn’t.
